Barefoot retreats


Barefoot Retreats are a chance to fully experience the healing power of nature,

recharge your batteries and nourish your mind, body and soul.

They are a full day away from modern life and digital devices,

immersing yourself in yoga practice, meditation and mindfulness,

and enjoying healthy and delicious plant-based meals.

They are open to anyone and you don’t need to have any previous yoga

or meditation experience to get the full benefit of the retreat.


Yoga and meditation are all about escaping the busy, overactive mind

and finding peace and rest within the body and breath.

We partner with some of the world’s leading yoga

and movement teachers to be part of our transformative retreats. 

We are guided by nature and an important element of what we offer

is the chance to simply spend the day outside, experiencing how the natural world

can dramatically improve your mental and physical wellbeing.

That incredible feeling of peace and calmness that you experience

at the beach is now being referred to as ‘blue health’

Scientists believe the combination of soothing smells, sight and sound of water

have an effect on your brain and make you feel at ease in a hypnotic sort of way.

That relaxed feeling you get at the beach, it’s not just all in your head.

Science says that it’s a change in the way your brain reacts

to its environment that leaves you feeling happy, calm and reenergised.

Each of our retreats is subtly different, but a typical Barefoot Day Retreat goes a little bit like this:

  • 8.00am Arrival and welcome tea

  • 8.30am Yoga session

  • 10.30am Breakfast

  • 11.30am Bush/beach mindful hike and ocean swim

  • 2.00pm Lunch

  • 3.00pm Plant based cooking demo and talk

  • 4.00pm Yoga and meditation session

  • 6.00pm Farewell!
